Markets
A leveraged token exists for every combination of market × leverage × direction. Pick one when you launch: it decides what your token tracks for the rest of its life.
| Markets | Price source | |
|---|---|---|
| Crypto | BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, TRX, LINK, AVAX | Chainlink price feeds on BNB Chain, read on-chain at every settlement. |
| Stocks | TSLA, NVDA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, META, GOOGL, AVGO, BRKB, LLY, WMT, JPM, V, ORCL, NFLX, COST, AMD, PLTR, COIN, MSTR | Aster index price, signed by the keeper every few seconds and relayed on-chain inside each trade; the keeper also posts it when it moves more than 0.2%. |
Leverage and direction
- Leverage: 2x, 3x or 5x. Higher leverage means a bigger move per 1% of the underlying — and faster decay in choppy markets.
- Direction: long or short. A short-backed token goes up when the market goes down, which makes bear-market memecoins possible.
- The combination is visible everywhere as a pair badge, e.g. BTC ×3 Long, and the board can be filtered by category (crypto / stocks).
Why two price sources
Crypto markets have reliable on-chain feeds, so the vault reads Chainlink directly and nobody has to be trusted for the price. Stock feeds on BNB Chain freeze outside exchange hours, which would let anyone arbitrage the vault over the weekend; stock-backed vaults therefore use the price of the perpetual on Aster, which trades 24/7, and the keeper posts it on-chain.
Stocks and weekends
Stock perpetuals trade around the clock, so stock-backed tokens keep moving on weekends with the perp price rather than the closed exchange price. Expect the perp — and the token — to gap when the real market reopens on Monday.
Fresh prices, by construction
A stock-backed vault only mints or redeems against a posted price that is less than 30 seconds old. The keeper signs the Aster index every few seconds; the site attaches the latest signature to your transaction and the Zap verifies and posts it on-chain right before trading, so the trade and its price travel together — there is no stale price left to front-run. If no fresh signature exists (the index has not moved for ten minutes, or the keeper is down), stock-backed tokens simply cannot be bought or sold until it comes back; crypto markets read Chainlink and are unaffected. Every transaction also carries a two-minute deadline.
